1.23.12 - A few photos from a quick jaunt over the mountain on a moody afternoon.

1.29.12 - The golden light in Blacksburg woke me early yesterday morning. This was pretty much the first thing I saw.

1.22.12 - After a few hours trying to rescue images from a corrupted compact flash card, thirty minutes on the phone with SanDisk customer support, and a few more hours on my own, I finally got the images off my card from a brief stroll at Sherando Lake yesterday. It was a pretty bleak day for photographs, but the little bit of snow was entirely worth it.

1.1.12 - Here's another from the first day of the new year. This is taken about 15 minutes after the previous sunset photo I posted, same location.

1.15.12 - We drove west past Lexington to House Mountain for a hike in the cold. Both Little and Big peaks had their own unique rewards, including a creepy goat on Big House.

1.13.12 - Though it was not my home stadium, I always ran well here.

1.2.12 - Strolled up to check out the Blue Ridge Tunnel with some folks on Monday. The first two are from the West (Waynesboro) portal. The last four are from the East (Afton) portal. The one in the middle is a peacock. I'm not sure why exactly, but we saw him trolling the main drag of Afton. Odd.
