3.31.14-4.2.14 - A few more from last week in the national park. Sunset over Spitler Knoll, the view from Stony Man Cliffs, Orion over Big Meadows, and sunrise over Big Meadows.
3.31.14-4.2.14 - I spent the better part of three days hiking through the Shenandoah, mainly looking for wildlife. Despite the warm temperatures, the bears have not become active yet, as I didn't see any. This first photo is in late afternoon on Tanner's Ridge. The second photo is about five minutes before the sunrise from a meadow overlooking Old Rag Mountain, the lone peak in the frame. I have many more to come, of course.
3.22.14 - Some friends and I hiked up the hill behind the Thomas Dairy Farm to find a small rock outcrop overlooking most of North Garden.
3.2.14 - I went to hike into the Riprap Hollow, only to find the trail closed due to fire. I spent the afternoon on a few other short hikes.
