4.3.19 - Despite the serenity of this photo, it was quite a chaotic scene. I knew my skin was going to crawl being one of the thousands of tourists on the National Mall during the cherry blossom peak, but it was worth doing once. I can confidently say I shan't be doing that again.

4.4.19 - I noticed the stunning geometry of this place around sunset, but the memorial was crowded by hundreds of people, so I woke up early and returned to the National Mall by 3:30 to have the whole place to myself.

4.1.19 - I was hoping for a wild sunset, which didn't happen, but the purples and blues lingered on the horizon, giving a subtle reflection off of the river. This is seven vertical frames stitched together, so it's quite a large image. Click for larger.

3.20.19 - Last night's supermoon setting over Charlottesville this morning. If you look closely you can see the lights at Scott Stadium and McCormick Observatory on top of O'Hill.
