This is not fall foliage, but rather the first touches of spring. The sun cresting the horizon is providing the warm hues on the mountaintops. Although the photo looks peaceful, this morning was incredibly windy, even blowing over my heaviest beast of a tripod. I nearly froze on top of the mountain taking this photo. April 2019.
