The fireworks over Carter Mountain last night reflected in a nearby lake, with Monticello lurking just on the other side of the mountain. I had to squish the image to get it to fit Instagram’s crop ratio, so swipe to see the un-manipulated version. In retrospect, I wish I were farther away so I could’ve used a longer focal length to compress the scene. I don’t often composite images, but as a matter of transparency, this is three separate frames blended together. July 2021.
